Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Technician 4 for our location in Plymouth, MN.
Work closely with our engineering team in an RF electronics prototype development laboratory. Support research and development, engineering development and transition-to-production efforts on a wide variety of product types with a strong focus on radio frequency (RF) circuits and telemetry systems. Duties include building, testing, and troubleshooting RF electronic circuit boards; test setups; cables; assemblies; and various assembly and test fixtures. Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Perform preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as circuit and system performance, and antenna characterization. Use personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
The ideal candidate would demonstrate excellent attention to detail and meticulous record keeping ability, strong computer aptitude and excellent written and oral communication skills. With career progression, the individual would take on more responsibility and complex build and test efforts, document hardware configurations, develop assembly processes and test procedures, and make suggestions to the engineering team for improvements. Must have a strong work ethic and learning attitude, have a safety-oriented mindset, and be a responsible, motivated team player capable of working individually and as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Level Salary Range: $75,500.00 - $125,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
