Job summary

Tampa Microwave is seeking a Principal RF Design Engineer to join our team in Clearwater, FL. The role focuses on advancing multi-orbit SATCOM systems, developing cutting-edge SATCOM designs, including antennas, RF components, modems and positioners for DoD requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree with MBA or business experience and at least 15 years in military or commercial SATCOM, with a PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics combined with MBA or equivalent level of business education or experience.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in military or commercial SATCOM.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and select RF components, including layout development and testing.
• Collaborate on analog design to address power requirements for RF designs and integration with logic circuits.
• Develop land-based SATCOM systems with receive/transmit modules, modems, antennas, and RF components with manufacturing teams.
