Job summary

General Atomics is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer to lead RF designs for air/ground systems within the GA-EMS Radar Technologies group. The role involves developing RF design requirements, performing trade studies, and collaborating across hardware, software, and systems teams.

The candidate should have extensive RF design experience, strong measurement skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment, with potential for DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, master or PhD in engineering with extensive experience or equivalent.
• Ability to plan, coordinate workloads and lead projects.
• Experience simulating and designing RF circuits/subsystems using MATLAB, ADS, HFSS, CST.

Responsibilities

• Simulate/design RF circuits and subsystems for air/ground systems (Transmit/Receive modules, converters, beamforming networks).
• Develop RF design requirements from high-level specs.
• Perform design trade studies and bench-level evaluation of RF designs.
