Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA seeks an experienced avionics engineer to own the development, test and integration of GPS-based navigation avionics for the Terran R launcher. You’ll work with cross-functional teams across propulsion, GNC, mechanical, electrical, and software to deliver robust navigation solutions and support RF system integration.

You will mentor hardware engineers on RF design fundamentals, review analyses, and help shape the RF architecture to ensure reliable telemetry,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in electronics designed for harsh environments and mission-critical applications such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, or robotics.
• Experience with hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and data analysis.
• Experience working with highly cross-functional teams to develop integrated electronics solutions.
• Deep understanding of RF system fundamentals including impedance matching, link budget analysis, and antenna theory.

Responsibilities

• Own development, test and integration of GPS-based navigation avionics for Terran R launch vehicle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across propulsion, GNC, mechanical, electrical, and software.
• Mentor hardware engineers on RF design, review analyses, and support architectural trades.
• Ensure RF systems work cohesively from design through operations.
