Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an experienced Revit Designer to join our Structures team in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on developing and quality-checking structural drawings using REVIT, coordinating with staff, and mentoring junior designers.

A strong background in structural design and knowledge of Autodesk/Bentley products are required. Qualified candidates should have 6+ years of experience, a high school diploma (associates preferred), and the ability to manage printing/plotting settings.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in structural design/drafting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; willingness to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical drawings and plans using REVIT software.
• Perform quality checks on drawings and plans of substantial complexity.
• Maintain drawing database and ensure schedules and timelines are met.
• Possibly supervise and train REVIT staff; coordinate work activities.
• Suggest design changes based on engineering principles.
• Familiarize with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards.
