Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Reverse Engineer/Software Tester to provide 100% onsite support at DARPA IPTO in Arlington, VA.

The role focuses on software program analysis, cyber defense, and exploitation activities to advance security research. The candidate will apply emulation, vulnerability research, and reverse engineering techniques, and will lead efforts to integrate new technologies with existing solutions, including reporting to SCIF environments.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in computer science, engineering, information, or mathematics related field.
• 8+ years of reverse engineering and offensive cybersecurity experience.
• Experience using large language models for analysis, testing, and verification of cybersecurity tools.
• Deep understanding of software behavior analysis and requirements derivation.
• Excellent PowerPoint skills to explain advanced reverse engineering approaches.

Responsibilities

• Support technology transition and program management for software analysis, network defense, and cyber operations.
• Apply software emulation, vulnerability research, and reverse-engineering expertise to develop cyber solutions.
• Lead integration of new and existing technologies and coordinate advisory activities.
