Job summary

Boardwalk Pipelines, LP in Houston seeks a Senior Commercial Accountant & Settlements Analyst to support revenue recognition, settlements, and financial reporting for its natural gas marketing and trading operations. You will partner with Accounting, Commercial Operations, Scheduling, Risk Management, and Legal to ensure accurate accounting and timely settlements.

The role requires strong knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 815, and ETRM systems, plus proficiency in Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance.
Experience interpreting and accounting for commercial contracts.
Experience in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with senior management.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

Research and document accounting conclusions for complex commercial agreements under ASC 606 and ASC 815.
Ensure contract classification complies with policies and standards.
Maintain and enhance internal controls over revenue and settlements.
Perform month-end close procedures and variance analysis.
Analyze and explain fluctuations in revenue, margins and volumes.
Prepare monthly management reports on volumes, revenue, margins, and settlements.
