Job summary

Senior Accountant at Mason & Blair, LLC will support General Ledger and Financial Close activities and help revamp Order-to-Cash operations. You will work on close processes, balance sheet and P&L analyses, and audit preparation while driving improvements in O2C and data accuracy.

The role also involves evaluating NetSuite and other tools to automate manual tasks, strengthen internal controls, and ensure timely reporting. CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years experience in GL, month end close, Revenue, and Order to Cash.
• CPA is a plus.
• Prior experience in Big4 or accounting firm a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare balance sheet and P&L analysis for accuracy and proper accounting treatment.
• Support the audit process with schedules, documentation, and auditor responses.
• Revamp end-to-end order-to-cash processes and optimize data systems.
• Monitor controls over O2C to minimize errors and leakage; assist with revenue recognition.

Senior Accountant to support General Ledger & Financial Close processes and help revamp of Order-to-Cash operations.

General Ledger & Financial Close

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Maintain well-organized and audit-ready accounting documentation and support the ongoing enhancement of internal controls.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet and P&L account analysis to ensure completeness, accuracy, and appropriate accounting treatment.
• Support the annual financial statement audit, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to auditor requests.

Revenue Operations & Order-to-Cash

• Support the revamp of the end-to-end order-to-cash (O2C) process.
• Streamline processes from contract execution through billing, collections, cash application, and revenue recognition.
• Evaluate and improve the use of systems such as NetSuite and other tools to automate manual processes and improve data accuracy.
• Maintain appropriate controls over the O2C process to minimize billing errors, revenue leakage, and operational risks.
• Own or support sales commission tracking and reconciliation, including monitoring commission calculations, identifying discrepancies, and partnering with Finance to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
