Job summary

Jobtailor in Redwood City, CA is seeking a Revenue Accountant to lead monthly and quarterly close processes, ensure ASC 606 compliance, and support ERP systems integration and automation.

The role requires 3–5+ years in revenue accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with NetSuite, Leapfin, and Looker. Hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office weekly. CPA is preferred and U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• CPA highly recommended.
• Working knowledge of GAAP standards, including ASC 606.
• 3–5+ years of Order-to-Cash, revenue, or related accounting experience.
• Experience with revenue recognition software Leapfin and BI tool Looker.
• Experience with NetSuite or an equivalent ERP system.
• Experience with system implementations, integrations, or process automation projects.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly/quarterly revenue close activities, including revenue analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Execute monthly/quarterly Order-to-Cash controls across all revenue streams.
• Reconcile transactions across subledgers, BI platforms, and the ERP system.
• Investigate and resolve daily inquiries on unusual revenue transactions with cross-functional teams.
• Support system enhancements, API implementations, and process automation related to revenue processes.
• Reconcile internal and external data to posted accounting balances.
• Support new product and marketing program launches through system configuration and testing, ensuring ASC 606 compliance.
• Assist with SOX implementation and maintain SOX 404 control compliance.
• Support internal and external audits and ad hoc projects.
• Partner with Finance Systems, Engineering, Business Development, Marketing, and Operations teams.
