Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks an Associate in the Revenue Cycle division to support account resolution and reconciliation of patient balances. The role emphasizes timely, accurate processing and collaboration to enhance patient and payer interactions across the CHRISTUS Health network.

Responsibilities include applying payer rules, resolving complex denials, and communicating with internal teams and external payers to optimize reimbursement and cash flow.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; post-HS education preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred in revenue cycle / billing.
• Experience with Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid reimbursement and payer rules.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding regulations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and hospital billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs Revenue Cycle functions meeting or exceeding key metrics.
• Acts as a subject matter expert supporting PFS team members and other departments.
• Verifies coverage, submits claims, and follows up on appeals, underpayments, or disputes.
• Investigates and resolves complex denials and requests additional information for reimbursement.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
