Job summary

Fireworks AI in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to scale our end-to-end revenue accounting processes. You will partner with Sales, Billing, Finance, Legal, and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and scalable controls.

The ideal candidate brings strong ASC 606 knowledge, experience with SaaS contracts, and a track record of improving revenue close processes in a fast‑growing tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly revenue close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform ASC 606 contract reviews and document revenue conclusions.
• Evaluate complex contract terms, including usage-based pricing and credits.
• Maintain and reconcile revenue schedules across related ledgers.
• Reconcile revenue data to billing, usage, and general ledger systems.
• Develop revenue accounting workbooks and rollforwards for audit trails.
• Collaborate with Billing, Revenue Ops, Sales, Legal on new products and terms.
• Assist with new product SKUs and revenue recognition treatments.
• Prepare memoranda supporting significant revenue accounting conclusions.
• Support external audits with schedules and auditor inquiries.
• Identify and implement improvements to revenue processes and controls.
