Job summary

MRO Corp is seeking a Senior Accountant in the United States to join the Accounting team with a focus on accounts receivable and revenue accounting. This role will own revenue-cycle close activities, including revenue and deferred revenue entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, is comfortable with large data sets, and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience, Big 4 preferred.
• Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and client billing.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, large workbooks).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly commission calculations, including amortization of prepaid/deferred commissions.
• Record and reconcile revenue and deferred revenue journal entries across multiple business lines.
• Maintain and analyze the AFDA for multiple business segments.
• Calculate and maintain AR reserves with well-supported estimates.
• Prepare gross revenue journal entries under ASC 606.
• Process write-off reclassifications and identify trends.
• Record profit share accruals for applicable lines.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve items.
• Collaborate with AR, billing and FP&A for accurate revenue reporting.
• Support month-end/year-end close, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Assist with audit requests and provide schedules.
