Job summary

DrFirst seeks a Senior Accountant to lead revenue recognition, revenue share operations, and drive process improvements across the finance function. The role requires deep GAAP knowledge, advanced technical skills, and the ability to build scalable solutions while partnering with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will manage complex contracts, oversee NetSuite-based routines, and contribute to audits and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or actively pursuing.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years focused on revenue accounting.
• Strong technical proficiency: Advanced Excel; experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, QuickSight, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Daily usage of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or similar.
• Systems experience: NetSuite (required), Salesforce, SharePoint.
• Ability to diagnose complex operational/accounting problems and develop scalable solutions.
• Experience with large datasets, data reconciliation, and high-volume transactions.
• Proven track record of process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close processes with ASC 606 compliance.
• Prepare and review journal entries for revenue transactions including deferred/unbilled revenue.
• Analyze complex customer contracts for revenue recognition; coordinate with Sales, Legal, Finance.
• Maintain and reconcile revenue-related GL accounts in NetSuite; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for audits and internal reporting.
• Support month-end/quarter-end reporting and management dashboards.
