Job summary

Aucta Pharmaceuticals Inc. in New Jersey seeks a Senior Revenue & GTN Accountant to support revenue accounting, GTN management, government pricing operations, forecasting, and commercial contract analysis.

You will partner with Finance, Commercial, Market Access, and external pricing vendors to ensure accurate net sales reporting and GTN reserves, while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA preferred.
• 3-5 years accounting experience, with 3+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606, revenue recognition, GTN accounting, and rebate accruals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly GTN accruals and true-up analyses.
• Analyze Medicaid rebates, managed care rebates, distribution service fees, product returns, co-pay programs, and government program deductions.
• Work with third-party vendors to validate rebate submissions and accrual estimates.
• Investigate GTN variances and recommend process improvements.
• Support monthly GTN forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Support AMP, Best Price, FCP, and 340B reporting processes.
• Coordinate with government pricing vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Review government pricing calculations and supporting documentation.

Job description

The Senior Revenue & GTN Accountant will support revenue accounting, gross-to-net (GTN) management, government pricing operations, forecasting, and commercial contract analysis for pharmaceutical products. This role will serve as a key business partner across Finance, Commercial, Market Access, and external government pricing vendors to ensure accurate net sales reporting, GTN reserves, revenue recognition, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Gross-to-Net (GTN)

• Prepare monthly GTN accruals and true-up analyses.
• Analyze and monitor:
• Medicaid rebates
• Managed care rebates
• Distribution service fees
• Product returns
• Co-pay programs
• Government program deductions.
• Work with third-party vendors to validate rebate submissions and accrual estimates.
• Investigate GTN variances and recommend process improvements.
• Support monthly GTN forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Support AMP, Best Price, FCP, and 340B reporting processes.
• Coordinate with government pricing vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Review government pricing calculations and supporting documentation.
• Maintain SOPs, controls, and documentation related to government pricing compliance.

Revenue Accounting

• Prepare monthly revenue recognition calculations in accordance with ASC 606.
• Review customer contracts and assess accounting implications.
• Analyze gross sales, net sales, and revenue adjustments.
• Prepare monthly revenue-related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support quarter-end and year-end revenue close activities.
• Assist with external audit requests related to revenue accounting.
• Prepare monthly revenue and GTN trend analysis.
• Support preparation of:
• Product P&L
• Monthly Business Review (MBR)
• Executive reporting packages.
• Analyze business drivers affecting net sales, margin, and profitability.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities related to revenue and GTN.

Contract Management & Compliance

• Review distributor, specialty pharmacy, GPO, PBM, and payer contracts.
• Summarize financial terms affecting revenue recognition and GTN.
• Maintain contract database and accounting abstracts.
• Evaluate accounting impacts of commercial agreements and amendments.

ERP / Process Improvement

• Participate in SAP or NetSuite implementation activities.
• Support UAT testing and validation of revenue and GTN workflows.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and internal controls.
• Identify automation opportunities for revenue and GTN processes.

Qualifications

Education

Experience

• 3-5 years accounting experience
