Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen the close and reporting process with a focus on revenue recognition under ASC 606. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams, maintain gross-to-net models, support SOX controls, and assist external auditors, delivering accurate financial insights for strategic decisions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 2–4 years of GAAP experience, preferably with pharma/biotech exposure and CPA, and excel in multi-tasking and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 2–4 years related experience; Big 4 auditing preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 606.
• Experience with pharmaceutical/biotech revenue (gross-to-net) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support period close by preparing reconciliations and journal entries; maintain revenue recognition models (gross-to-net) ensuring ASC 606 compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of financial reporting.
• Partner with Commercial Finance, Market Access, Compliance, and Supply Chain to record and report revenue and provide insights into business impacts.
• Support internal controls (SOX) and external financial reporting (SEC Reporting) as necessary.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, HR, IT, R&D, Operations, Sales & Marketing.
• Assist external auditors during audits with documentation and explanations.
• Communicate clearly with explanations and clarifying questions.
• Implement continuous improvements and solve routine problems.

• Support period close by preparing reconciliations and journal entries; maintain revenue recognition models (gross-to-net) ensuring ASC 606 compliance

Pay Range:

• $95,000 USD - $115,000 USD
