Job summary

LHH is seeking a Retirement Plan Specialist to support multiple qualified retirement plans, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate administration. The role reports through the Finance team and requires ownership in solving complex plan issues.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in retirement plan administration, experience with 401(k), ESOP or pension plans, and strong Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retirement plan administration experience.
• Experience with 401(k), ESOP, pension, or deferred compensation plans.
• Knowledge of ERISA regulations, compliance testing, and Form 5500s.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, IF formulas, reconciliations).
• Analytical mindset with finance/accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support 401(k), ESOP, pension, and deferred compensation plans.
• Serve as a key liaison with third-party administrators, auditors, and plan vendors.
• Assist with annual compliance testing, audits, and regulatory filings.
• Support Form 5500 preparation and related documentation.
• Review and interpret plan documents and retirement plan regulations.
• Validate payroll contributions and loan repayments.
• Reconcile employee and employer contributions.
• Perform ESOP-related financial reconciliations.
• Analyze retirement plan data and prepare reporting in Excel.
