Job summary

FuturePlan, the nation's largest third-party retirement plan administrator, seeks a Compliance Associate with advanced plan knowledge to handle complex interactions with Plan Consultants. We have several openings for this role.

Responsibilities include interpreting plan provisions, applying IRS/DOL/ERISA regulations, supporting audits, assisting Plan Consultants, and handling plan administration and testing for defined business blocks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 to 8+ years of hands-on Retirement plan testing experience will be considered.
• Experience with 5500's and other relevant documents.
• Experience with cash basis and/or trust accounting.
• Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks and meet deadlines related to ERISA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Reads and comprehends retirement plan provisions from plan documents and related materials for accuracy and compliance.
• Understands and applies IRS, DOL, and ERISA regulations when preparing, analyzing and interpreting information.
• Supports DOL, IRS, and Large plan audits.
• Supports Plan Consultants in resolving operational and compliance issues for qualified plans.
• Responsible for plan administration, compliance and testing for identified blocks of business.
• Tracks and monitors progress to meet compliance deadlines.
• Prepares annual valuation and compliance reports for Clients.
• Provides consultations with Plan Consultant in drafting plan documents, amendments, and other legal documents.
• Supports quality assurance reviews.
• Protects confidential data and adheres to information security standards.
