Job summary

ExlService Holdings, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Retail Lending Domain SME with deep banking experience to guide a bank’s BI and analytics modernization program. You will own the business conversation, define what to measure, how metrics are derived, and how reporting should be structured for end users.

Delivery is executed by a technical team, while you ensure accuracy and business relevance. You will lead requirements with senior stakeholders, govern metric definitions, and mentor team members

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on consumer/retail lending.
• Strong ability to define and derive business metrics and document metric logic for technical teams.
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills for executive-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the retail lending SME driving requirements with senior client stakeholders.
• Define, derive and document key retail lending metrics and their calculation rules.
• Guide design of reports, KPIs and analytical use cases for reporting modernization.
• Own metric governance across Product, Risk, Finance and Tech teams.
• Review and validate reports produced by delivery teams and resolve data mismatches.
• Perform analytics on portfolio performance, credit quality and customer behavior.
• Prioritize use cases with business value and support roadmaps.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements and support UAT to production.
• Mentor team members to deepen banking-domain knowledge.
