Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a capable Cashier/Stocker to support daily store operations in Cleveland, TN. In the absence of the Store Manager, you’ll lead cash handling, ensure accurate stocking, and uphold safety and loss-prevention standards while delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll unload trucks, stock shelves, manage plan-o-grams, and assist customers with locating products. This role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math operations (add/subtract/percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to use IBM cash register functions.
• Understand safety and loss-prevention policies.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams and merchandising guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves according to store processes.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise and build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage shelf presentation.
• Operate cash register, collect payment, and provide change.
• Greet customers and assist in locating items.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; manage end-cap displays and curb-side setup.
