Job summary

Our Client is seeking a Senior Estimator in the North Texas area to create and manage estimates across residential, commercial, and industrial lines. You will meet with clients, develop accurate estimates using Xactimate, manage projects through completion, and review budgets with management.

The role emphasizes strong Xactimate expertise, ability to write full reconstruction estimates, and comfort with engineering reports and complex losses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction, restoration, or contents estimating.
• Residential estimating experience on projects exceeding $50,000.
• Commercial estimating experience on projects up to $100,000.
• Successful completion of Level 1 and Level 2 estimating platform certifications.
• Successful completion of Xactimate Intermediate training.
• Experience with national rates and material invoicing.
• English literacy and fluency.
• Understanding of MSDS/SDS data sheets for restoration/construction.
• Experience preparing estimates/proposals per formatting standards.
• Extensive customer service experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and strong Xactimate experience.
• Professional demeanor with excellent telephone communication.
• Ability to work with coworkers, vendors, clients, adjusters, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate scopes with minimal over/under scoping.
• Create accurate floor plans and multi-level/roof sketches using Xactimate Sketch.
• Maintain working knowledge of local building codes.
• Create and adhere to budgets; address overages as they arise.
• Follow company standards for naming estimates, revised estimates, proposals, change orders, and related docs.
• Maintain knowledge of local building codes.
• Maintain construction schedules and coordinate with trades to ensure timely completion.
• Identify and present solutions when additional resources are needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency in source removal, decontamination, mitigation, containment, ventilation, contents, and deodorization techniques.
• Demonstrate proficiency in investigative demolition, controlled demolition, structural decontamination, cleaning, and deodorization services.
• Participate in continued estimating/training, including Xactimate training and certifications.
• Independently manage assigned work and projects.
• Maintain vehicle safety and maintenance inspections; keep vehicles clean.
• Complete accident, injury, and incident reporting forms accurately and on time.
• Apply analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and establish Our Client as a world-class organization.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
