Job summary

Walker Consultants is seeking a Restoration Consultant to join our Salt Lake City team. This role focuses on evaluating existing structures, developing repair strategies, and overseeing restoration efforts with a detail-oriented, proactive professional.

Qualified candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Architecture, 10+ years in forensics/restoration, and a PE license or the ability to obtain licenses in other states. Travel is periodic.

Qualifications

• Experience in assessment, repair design, and construction phase services.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with decision-makers.
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
• Registered professional engineer with ability to obtain licenses in other states via NCEES.

Responsibilities

• Perform investigations, surveys, and testing of existing buildings to identify deficiencies.
• Critically analyze plans, specifications, and calculations prepared by others.
• Monitor project progress, budget adherence, and procedural standards.
• Develop repair schemes and recommendations; maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate engineers and technical personnel for projects within the office.
• Promote Walker’s architectural/engineering services to clients; train staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
