A growing engineering and building consulting firm seeks a Senior Restoration Engineer (structural) to join its Philadelphia team. You will lead façade, roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope restoration projects, oversee investigations and restoration design, and prepare reports under Local Law 11 and other code requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in building restoration, rehabilitation, structural repair, or building envelope consulting.
• Strong understanding of NYC FISP/Local Law 11 requirements.
• Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating project teams.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RAM, STAAD, or RISA.
• Experience with landmark, historic preservation, or complex restoration projects is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the New York City market and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate FISP/Local Law 11 reports and DOB submissions
• Perform site inspections using various access methods, including scaffolding and aerial lifts

• Manage project teams, schedules, budgets, and resource planning
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ownership groups, and project stakeholders
• Support proposal preparation, scoping, and business development efforts

Senior Restoration Engineer

A growing engineering and building consulting firm is seeking a Senior Restoration Engineer to join its New York City team. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex building restoration, rehabilitation, and preservation projects throughout the city while playing a key role in mentoring staff and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

The successful candidate will work on a diverse portfolio of existing buildings, ranging from multifamily and commercial assets to historic and architecturally significant structures. This is a highly visible role with direct involvement in project execution, client relationships, and technical leadership.
