Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our API Engineering team. You will design, develop, test, and support REST APIs powering critical client-facing services and partner integrations.

You will collaborate with architects, product managers, QA, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable APIs using modern engineering practices, with emphasis on backend development, system integration, and API design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience developing and supporting REST APIs.
• Experience with Java, C#, .NET, Spring Boot or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Document API specifications, developer guides, and onboarding materials.
• Develop and execute unit/integration tests and support CI/CD automation.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, security, and platform teams.
