Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide invasive and non-invasive care under physician supervision, primarily in ICU settings across age groups from neonates to geriatrics. The role includes evaluating cardiopulmonary function, administering therapies, and documenting results, while maintaining readiness for emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS/ACLS/PALS training per listed requirements.
• Active Ohio Respiratory Care license and NBRC registration.
• 1 year of respiratory therapy experience in emergency airway management or similar areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatments per physician orders or protocols.
• Explain therapy goals to patients and adjust treatment as needed.
• Document assessments and therapy performed.
• Assess appropriateness of prescribed therapy and discuss with physician.
• Manage ventilation and airway devices and monitor gas exchange.
