Qualifications

• 1 year of critical care experience in adult and neonatal ICUs.
• Certification from a Respiratory Therapy Program, or 2-year AMA-approved program.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care appropriate to assignment (adult, pediatric, neonatal).
• Perform all duties of blood gas analysis including stick, draw, analysis, and reporting.

Under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager/Director, the Sr RCP will provide respiratory care appropriate to the area of assignment, adult, pediatric, and neonatal. Perform all duties of blood gas analysis including stick, draw, analysis and reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Certification from a Respiratory Therapy Program, Or
  • Completion of 2-year certificate from an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Upon hire: California Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
• Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association.
• 1 yearCritical care experience in adult and neonatal intensive care.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PALS Instructor upon hire
• Instructor Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association upon hire
• Experience as charge or Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner.
