Job summary

Huntington Hospital in Pasadena seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to deliver skilled respiratory care across neonatal, pediatric and adult populations in multiple units. Graduate of an NBRC-accredited program with California RCP licensure is required, along with NBRC RRT, BLS and PALS. NICU/NRP and ACLS experience are preferred for appropriate areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Two years experience as a Critical Care RCP preferred for relevant populations.
• Current unrestricted California RCP license.
• Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT).
• BLS and PALS current per American Heart Association.
• NRP for NICU if applicable.
• ACLS if working on AC/ICU teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric and adult patients.
• Follow physician orders and participate in patient care planning.
• Engage in quality improvement and research activities.
• Mentor/evaluate new staff as directed.
• Maintain on-call readiness for emergencies and transports.
