Job summary

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Senior Resource Geologist to join our Mining & Energy team. Based in Reno, NV, you will develop and validate geological models, estimate resources, and support reporting to NI 43-101 and SK-1300.

Preferred candidates have 10+ years in geology and strong proficiency in 3D modelling tools (Surpac, MinePlan, Leapfrog). The role involves collaboration across North America and opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in geology, geostatistics, or a related field.
3–5 years of mine geology experience in an operating environment.
5–7 years of hands-on experience in resource modelling and domain estimation.
10+ years total geology experience with emphasis on resource work.
Professional designation such as P.G. or P.Geo. (Canada) and/or CPG (AIPG).
Strong background in resource estimation, block modelling, and geological interpretation.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel for business.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate geological and block models to support mine planning.
Prepare mineral resource estimates and assist in technical reporting per NI 43-101 and SK-1300.
Perform QA/QC reviews, model reconciliation, and data evaluation.
