Cascade Engineering is seeking a Senior Commodity Manager to own the resin category, leading strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and cost reduction initiatives in Grand Rapids.

You will analyze supplier quotations and total cost of ownership, develop supplier development plans, and partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Program Management to support new product launches; travel up to 30%.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
• Seven or more years of progressive experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Experience developing and executing commodity strategies for a key category (resin).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers and TCO.
• Proven supplier negotiations, cost reduction, and supplier performance improvement.
• Ability to analyze market data, quotations, financials and risk for sourcing decisions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Aufgaben

• Analyze supplier quotations and total cost of ownership to maximize value.
• Establish processes and reporting for tracking commodity performance and cost savings.
• Develop and execute supplier development plans and related lean training.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance and Program Management on new product launches.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective actions for quality, delivery and cost.
• Support continuous improvement of supply management processes and tools.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with policies and regulations.
• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to the Supply Chain team.
