Job summary

Huntington National Bank seeks a Senior Architect to help design, evaluate, and enhance resilient technology solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, and the ability to think strategically about how systems are designed, built, deployed, and maintained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in Architect/Principal Engineer roles or similar.
• 1+ years of Java and containerized applications (Springboot, Docker).
• 1+ years scripting with Terraform, Python, or Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and business teams to strengthen enterprise resiliency capabilities.
• Evaluate existing applications and platforms for resiliency, recoverability, and operational readiness.
• Provide architectural guidance across the full SDLC including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Assess and recommend backup, recovery, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
• Identify resiliency gaps and develop strategic roadmaps for improvement.
• Contribute to cloud and infrastructure architecture decisions focusing on reliability and recoverability.
• Support implementation of resilient architectures across distributed environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed resiliency considerations into software delivery and governance.
