GreenSavers in Portland, Maine is seeking a Full-time HVAC Installer to lead residential heat-pump, furnace, water-heating, and ventilation projects from setup through commissioning.

You'll troubleshoot, communicate with customers, and document system operation while coaching junior installers and upholding safety and quality standards. Competitive benefits include health coverage, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• 3–5+ years of residential HVAC installation or Level 2 experience.
• Strong knowledge of heat pumps, ductless systems, furnaces, controls, refrigeration, and commissioning.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climb ladders; work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and varying weather.
• Valid driver’s license; Spanish skills or energy efficiency programs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of standard residential HVAC installations from setup through commissioning.
• Plan equipment placement, piping, drainage, wiring, duct connections, and crew workflow.
• Braze or flare, pressure-test, evacuate, charge, start up, and commission systems correctly.
• Diagnose installation and control issues and verify airflow and system performance.
• Coach Level 1 and Level 2 installers and reinforce safety and quality standards.
