Job summary

GreenSavers, a home-performance contractor in Portland, is hiring for a lead HVAC installer role. You will oversee complex residential installations, from setup to customer walkthrough, ensuring safety, quality, and documentation.

Expect to lead heat pumps, furnaces, and related systems, while coaching team members and coordinating with the Field Manager. The position requires EPA 608 certification, 5+ years of residential installation and crew leadership, and a strong knowledge of HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• 5+ years of residential HVAC installation with crew-lead experience.
• Advanced knowledge of heat pumps, refrigeration, controls, airflow, ducts and commissioning.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and varying weather.
• Valid driver’s license; NATE, Oregon electrical credentials, duct-design, manufacturer certifications, or Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex residential HVAC installations in Portland and set the standard for craftsmanship, safety, and customer care.
• Direct crews and own jobs from setup through customer walkthrough.
• Plan complex installations, assign work, manage labor hours, and keep the crew moving safely.
• Lead heat-pump, furnace, water-heating, ventilation, controls, and ductwork installations.
• Coach installers, complete final documentation, and provide clear customer walkthroughs.
