AllSearch Professional Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Senior Residential Mechanical Designer - HVAC in Fairfax, VA. The role focuses on residential HVAC system design, including load calculations, duct design, equipment sizing, and code compliance using AutoCAD and WrightSoft.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of residential HVAC design experience, with strong ACCA J/D/S knowledge and IECC/ENERGY STAR awareness. Hybrid work is available; remote options may apply for out-of-state candidates.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of experience in Residential Mechanical (HVAC) Design.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced proficiency with HVAC load calculations and WrightSoft or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of ACCA Manual J, D, and S; IECC/ENERGY STAR codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, ventilation, and equipment sizing per ACCA standards.
• Perform residential HVAC design using AutoCAD and WrightSoft or similar software.
• Apply Manual J, D, and S methodologies to design.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of designs and energy modeling deliverables.
• Review designs for IECC and ENERGY STAR requirements and applicable codes.
• Identify design and workflow issues and develop technical resolutions.
• Manage project deliverables, milestones, priorities, and schedules.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, architects, and stakeholders.
• Interpret project and jurisdictional requirements for HVAC design.
