Job summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking an energetic, experienced Residential Mortgage Appraisal Review Manager to lead the appraisal review function and support the Mortgage Division in producing timely, compliant loan approvals.

You will supervise the Appraisal Desk team, manage the appraiser panel, and collaborate across Mortgage Origination, Operations, and Risk to balance risk with production goals. The ideal candidate is a licensed residential appraiser with strong leadership, deep knowledge of

Qualifications

• Active State Certified Residential Appraiser or State Certified General Appraiser license.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of residential appraisal experience.
• Experience leading appraisal review teams and vendor management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Appraisal Desk Lead, Specialist, and Reviewers.
• Establish performance standards and quality metrics for the team.
• Conduct evaluations and development planning for staff.
• Oversee complex residential appraisal reviews for compliance and quality.
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy to support on-time loan closings.
• Manage appraiser panel applications, licensing checks, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Mortgage Origination and Operations to balance risk and production.
• Maintain appraisal independence and compliance with USPAP and investor guidelines.
