Job summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking a full-time Residential Mortgage Appraisal Review Manager to lead the appraisal review function.

The role provides management oversight for the Appraisal Desk, appraiser panel, and operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality reviews that support loan production and on-time closings. The ideal candidate balances appraisal expertise with leadership, teamwork, and vendor oversight, coordinating with Mortgage Origination, Operations, Risk, and Compliance

Qualifications

• Active State Certified Residential Appraiser or State Certified General Appraiser license.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of residential appraisal experience.
• Minimum 3 years of appraisal review experience.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of USPAP, FNMA and FHLMC guidelines, FHA/VA/USDA requirements, and interagency guidelines.
• Experience managing appraisal vendors and appraiser panels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Appraisal Desk Lead, Specialist, and Reviewers; set performance standards.
• Oversee appraisal review operations for compliance and timely loan closings.
• Manage Appraisal Desk operations and appraiser panel processes.
• Ensure appraiser independence and vendor performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with Mortgage Origination, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and vendors.
