Qualifications

• Active State Certified Residential Appraiser or State Certified General Appraiser license.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of residential appraisal experience.
• Minimum 3 years of appraisal review experience.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of USPAP, FNMA/FHLMC appraisal requirements, FHA/VA/USDA guidelines, Interagency guidelines, and mortgage lending operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, coach, and manage the Appraisal Desk Lead, Appraisal Desk Specialist, and Appraisal Specialists/Reviewers.
• Set performance standards, service levels, and quality metrics for the appraisal review team.
• Perform complex residential appraisal reviews for compliance, quality, credibility, and adherence to standards.
• Oversee daily operations of the Appraisal Desk and ensure efficient order management from assignment to final review.
• Manage appraiser panel processes, due diligence, and performance evaluation of panel members.
• Collaborate with Mortgage Origination, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to balance valuation risk with production needs.
• Maintain appraisal review practices aligning with regulatory, investor, and internal policies.
