Job summary

Delve Underground is seeking a Resident Engineer with 15-20 years of construction management experience in heavy underground construction. This role oversees office and field teams, reviews project documentation, and maintains client communications to ensure projects meet time and budget targets.

The position requires a BS in Civil Engineering (or related field) and a PE license is preferred. Travel to project sites and flexibility for swing or night shifts may be needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Project Management or related field from an accredited college/university.
• Professional Engineer license is desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage office personnel (Office Engineer, Community Liaison, Assistant Resident Engineers, Inspectors).
• Advise Client on critical project tasks and troubleshoot issues.
• Review field paperwork (RFI, schedules, inspection reports, logs, agendas, minutes).
• Oversee and negotiate change orders, overruns, and claims.
• Lead construction field meetings and site inspections.
• Maintain communication with Client/Owner to address conflicts and keep on time/budget.
