Job summary

SI Engineering, P.C. is seeking a detail-oriented Resident Engineer to lead construction administration for a NYCDDC project in the Bronx. The ideal candidate must possess at least 15 years of infrastructure engineering experience and hold a New York State Professional Engineer License.

Responsibilities include management of safety meetings, oversight of compliance, and monitoring project performance. The position offers an annual salary in the range of $176,800 - $197,600, contingent on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Must have 15+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer on infrastructure projects.
• Preferably with 5+ years of experience on NYCDDC projects.
• NY State Professional Engineer License is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall construction administration of contract.
• Lead and conduct progress meetings and safety meetings.
• Manage direct reports including Inspectors and Office Engineer.
• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Monitor schedule, cost, and quality.
• Serve as a technical resource and problem solver.

Skills

15+ years of REI/CI experience on infrastructure projects

5+ years of experience working on NYCDDC projects

New York State Professional Engineer License

Bachelor’s in Engineering

Experience working with public agencies

Excellent organizational skills

Strong written and verbal communication
