Job summary

Texas State Technical College Marshall seeks a Senior Coordinator, Residence Life and Student Engagement to oversee on-campus housing operations and student activities, ensuring a safe, supportive environment for residents. You will supervise staff, advise student organizations, and lead leadership development and civic engagement programs.

In absence of the campus director you serve as Director of Housing, respond to crises, and coordinate with campus safety, facilities and risk management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of facilities management or event coordination in higher education.
• Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in student affairs or related field.
• Three+ years of experience in student activities, recreation programming, or residential life for college-aged students.
• Current CPR, Stop the Bleed, and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of residential life and student engagement activities.
• Co-manage weekly housing operations to ensure a safe, structured, and engaging residential experience.
• Serve as Director of Housing in the absence of the campus director.
• Respond to and coordinate crisis management situations with housing staff and campus safety officers.
• Advise student organizations and support leadership development and civic engagement.
