Job summary

Jonah Energy LLC in Denver, CO seeks a Senior Reservoir Engineer to optimize economic development and recovery across Permian Basin assets. The role collaborates with development and operations teams and reports to the VP of Reservoir Engineering & Geology.

Responsibilities include leading projects, applying decline-curve and rate transient analyses, performing cash flow modeling, and mentoring staff within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced reservoir engineering knowledge including reserves, rate transient analysis and material balance.
• Experience across multiple basins with strong economic analysis and reserve estimation.
• Comfortable handling large data sets and uncertain data.
• Proficient in Aries, ComboCurve, Excel, MS Access and Spotfire.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation to extract value from conventional and unconventional assets.
• Guide development decisions for an active drilling program and optimize recovery efficiency.
• Develop data analytics and implement quality control improvements across the team.
• Perform decline-curve analysis, rate transient analysis and reservoir simulations.
• Conduct cash flow analyses, prepare reports and presentations.
