Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA, is seeking a Senior Research Technologist for the Paulson Lab to study stress erythropoiesis and inflammatory anemia. You will perform mammalian cell culture and in vivo mouse experiments to uncover signaling pathways governing erythroid progenitor recovery.

Responsibilities include managing the lab’s supplies, ordering, inventory, and maintaining lab safety records while ensuring compliance with Environmental Health and Safety

Qualifications

• Experience with cell and molecular biology techniques.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Bachelor's Degree in immunology, hematology, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with flow cytometry, primary cell culture, and/or mouse models is preferred

Responsibilities

• Carry out experiments using mammalian cell culture and mouse models.
• Manage ordering, purchasing, and inventory for the lab.
• Maintain lab safety records and ensure EH&S compliance.
• Oversee animal colony management and related procedures.
