Responsibilities

• Conduct life sciences research projects; ensure protocol adherence and evaluate results
• Perform assays, material tests, specimen evaluation, and cultures
• Develop data collection procedures; analyze and summarize data
• Contribute to research method design; identify problems and propose solutions
• Recommend data collection, management, and visualization tools
• Train users in equipment operation and techniques; explain capabilities and limitations
• Develop project protocols; ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness
• Author papers, proposals, and reports to disseminate findings
• May operate a specialized research area or laboratory
• May supervise staff including hiring and performance management
