Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, or higher education credential.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred with higher education.
  • 4 years of relevant experience required with a high school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of relevant experience required with an Associate Degree.
  • Must reside in the state of Ohio and be able to travel locally.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment and consenting of advisory board members and research participants.
  • Support community advisory board meetings and co-design workshops; take detailed notes on feedback.
  • Conduct day-to-day study operations, including team meetings, recruitment, scheduling, and participant communications.
  • Review and analyze meeting notes.
  • Coordinate payments for board members and participants.
  • Conduct other data collection activities.
  • Contribute to institutional review board submissions and modifications.
  • Contribute to grant writing, manuscript development, presentations, reports, and other project tasks.
  • Coordinate recruitment, screening, enrollment, scheduling, and retention across multiple studies.
  • Maintain participant tracking systems and accurate study documentation.
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data through interviews, surveys, focus groups, and other procedures.
  • Perform data cleaning, management, and qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Prepare reports, tables, and figures for studies, presentations, publications, and funding applications.
  • Collaborate with investigators, research staff, students, and community partners.
  • Participate in project meetings, communicate progress, address implementation issues, and support timelines.
  • Assist with training and onboarding personnel on study procedures.
  • Conduct literature reviews, draft manuscript/grant sections, and support dissemination of research results.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 4 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED
  • 2 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree
  • 0 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Comfort with learning survey software such as REDCap and Qualtrics
  • Comfort with learning data-processing software such as SPSS and MAXQDA
  • Comfort with interacting with research participants
  • Access to reliable transportation for community site visits
  • Comfort working with very low-income community members and patients with substance use disorders/problems
  • Prior research setting, data collection/analysis, and other research-related experience preferred
