You will guide research efforts and collaborate across disciplines to influence roadmaps years ahead of development. The successful candidate will lead complex studies, stay current with state-of-the-art science, and provide expert consultation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or engineering field.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant research experience; substitutions allowed for advanced degrees.
• Proven ability to lead research initiatives across technical disciplines.
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
• Experience designing and executing complex laboratory studies.
• Ability to guide and consult on advanced scientific principles and trends.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide expert guidance on applying advanced scientific principles.
• Maintain knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies and literature across disciplines.
• Plan, design, develop, and execute laboratory research and studies.
• Conduct feasibility studies for potential technologies and innovations.
• Apply principles to support inventions years before product roadmaps.
• Coordinate and lead interdepartmental research efforts.
• Provide technical consultation across projects in area of specialization.
• Contribute to development of intellectual property and innovations.
