Benam Lab at the University of Pittsburgh seeks a Senior Research Scientist to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary program focused on advanced human-relevant experimental systems, including microphysiological systems and organs-on-chips.

The role blends science, engineering, and program execution, requiring independent research contributions and management of complex, multi-institutional efforts aligned with program goals and deliverables.

Formación

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of biomedical or translational research experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with manuscript/grant experience.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct independent and collaborative research projects from inception to presentation.
• Coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams and collaborating institutions.
• Track milestones and maintain integrated project plans with risk mitigation.
• Lead preparation and coordination of technical materials, progress reports, and sponsor documents.
• Contribute to development of manuscripts, presentations, and other scientific communications.
• Train and mentor junior lab members and researchers as needed.
• Ensure adherence to research protocols and institutional policies.
