Job summary

CNA Corporation is seeking a Sr. Research Scientist to lead a variety of analytic projects from CNA HQ or in the field, guiding teams and shaping client deliverables.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree (PhD preferred) with 10+ years of research experience, including Navy/Marine Corps work, and can manage multiple projects, mentor staff, and communicate results to senior sponsors. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; PhD preferred.
• Typical minimum 10+ years of experience in research and analysis; Navy/Marine Corps experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to apply advanced principles and conceptualize solutions; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead diverse projects with limited supervision; synthesize results and present to sponsors.
• Mentor and train junior staff; contribute to business development and client relations.
• Manage relationships with existing clients and explore opportunities with new sponsors.
• Translate complex analytic results into clear briefings and reports for senior stakeholders.
• Represent CNA professionally to clients and external partners.
