Job summary

Morgan Business Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to provide data analytics support to the U.S. Navy’s Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment program office.

The role requires 10+ years of data analytics experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint, and eligibility for a DoD SECRET security clearance. Travel domestically and internationally is expected to support active engagements and client sites.

Qualifications

• : At least 10 years of experience providing data analytics support to U.S. Navy program offices.
• : Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• : Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance.
• : Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• : Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• : Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients.

Responsibilities

• : Develop and implement analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
• : Apply data mining, data modeling, NLP, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
• : Visualize, interpret, and report data findings by creating dynamic data reports.
• : Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
• : Draft briefing materials and documents per Navy guidelines.
• : Coordinate data calls and communicate information to government leadership.
• : Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements and coordinate their implementation.
• : Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and assist with action items.
• : Assist in scheduling meetings and travel arrangements for government customers.
• : Attend meetings and program reviews and assist with presentations and communications.
• : Travel domestically and internationally and maintain required certifications and clearances.
