Job summary

Roche in Tucson invites applications for a Senior Research Scientist. You will design and execute experiments supporting Ventana projects, work independently, and contribute to project strategies to drive scientific innovation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with 6+ years, or a Master’s Degree with 1+ year, plus broad expertise in experimental techniques; literature insight; and collaboration across teams. GMP/GLP adherence is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science with 6+ years of related experience, or Master's Degree with 1+ year of related experience.
• Recognized expert across a wide range of experimental techniques and applications.
• Ability to search scientific literature to sustain expertise.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Team player capable of supervising and coordinating laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute bench experiments to support project strategies.
• Analyze data and prepare technical reports, summaries, and protocols.
• Troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions in the lab.
• Lead cross-functional technical teams and coordinate interfaces across groups.
• Ensure quality by adhering to GMP, GLP, and Design Control procedures.
• Present results within department and project teams and mentor others.
