Job summary

Share Our Strength is seeking a Senior Research Manager to lead research on nutrition policy and program impact. You will design and manage mixed-methods studies, deliver actionable insights for No Kid Hungry, and partner with external researchers to extend findings to diverse communities.

Equity and inclusion run through every project and interaction. The role prefers DC-based work but can be fully remote for the right candidate, with a salary range of $87k–$102k annually.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Public Health, Public Policy or related field with social science focus.
• 5–8 years of related work experience in research and evaluation.
• Experience with mixed methods research and data synthesis for policy impact.
• Proven ability to manage vendors or consultants.
• Strong written and oral communication for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and conduct research and evaluation projects.
• Assess impact of legislative changes on nutrition programs and school meals.
• Create resources to summarize research for internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with external researchers and disseminate findings.
• Lead third-party research initiatives and manage vendors.
• Foster equity, diversity and inclusion in research activities.
• Support cross-team work and translate findings into policy and program guidance.
