Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, located in Kingwood, is seeking a Research Technician to perform laboratory and bench-scale experiments, operate and maintain lab instruments, and contribute to process improvements in a collaborative team environment.

The role emphasizes safety, mentorship of new technicians, and data-driven evaluation of results, in a dynamic research setting within our R&T division.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating, calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment with hazardous chemicals.
• Preferred: Associate degree in Process Technology or technical field.
• Familiarity with process diagrams and laboratory instrumentation is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and execute laboratory and bench-scale experiments.
• Operate and maintain lab instruments and equipment; troubleshoot issues.
• Gather data, evaluate processes and products, and maintain records.
• Develop safe handling procedures for chemicals and reactions.
• Train and mentor new technicians.
• Support field trials and provide guidance as needed.
