Job summary

The University of Utah's Biomedical Informatics Core (BMIC) within CTSI seeks a Senior Manager, Research to lead the Research Services and Project Navigation team. You will architect research solutions, guide EDC design, and coordinate biospecimen and data workflows.

This senior role handles grant budgeting, proposal scoping, and serves as the consultative authority for complex study designs, while supervising navigators and ensuring service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8+ years of directly related work experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
• Experience leading research services, informatics projects, and grant budgeting.
• Familiarity with electronic data capture systems, data design, and translational research workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect clinical and translational informatics solutions including EDC structures and data pipelines.
• Budget and scope informatics work for grant proposals, coordinating funding across hybrid models.
• Supervise the Research Navigators and set quality standards for scientific navigation and consultations.
• Serve as liaison between investigators and cross-domain teams (Software Eng, Scientific Computing, Health System ops).
